Kentucky Will Play Manhattan or Hampton In the NCAA Tournament, Murray State Left Out

As expected, the undefeated Kentucky Wildcats (34-0) are the No. 1 overall seed in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. UK will be the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region.

The Wildcats will face No. 16 Manhattan/Hampton in the Second Round and then play the winner of No. 8 Cincinnati and No. 9 Purdue.

Kansas is the No. 2 seed and Notre Dame is No. 3 in the Midwest Region.

Kentucky's first two games will be in Louisville on Thursday/Saturday.

Louisville is a No. 4 seed in the East Region and will face No. 13 UC-Irvine in the second round. The Cardinals will then play the winner of  No. 5 Northern Iowa and No. 12 Wyoming if they advance.

Louisville's first weekend games will be in Seattle, Washington on Friday/Sunday.

Unfortunately, Murray State did not make the field. The Racers will look forward to competing in the NIT.

Other notes:

- Wyoming (Allen Edwards) is a 12-seed in the East Region; they will face 5-seed Northern Iowa

- Belmont is a 15-seed and will play 2-seed Virginia

- Georgia, LSU, Kentucky, Arkansas and Ole Miss got in from the SEC

- Manhattan (Steve Masiello) is in a play-in game vs. Hampton; the winner will face 1-seed Kentucky in the Midwest Region

- The 4 No. 1 seeds are Kentucky, Villanova, Duke and Wisconsin

- Gonzaga (Kyle Wiltjer) is a 2-seed in the South Region and will play North Dakota State.

- Oklahoma State (Travis Ford) is the 9-seed in the West Region and they will play 8-seed Oregon.

- Georgia State (Ryan Harrow, Kevin Ware) is the 13-seed in the West Region and will play 3-seed Baylor.
