No. 1 Kentucky Puts Away Florida to Complete Undefeated Regular Season

(1) Kentucky 67
Florida 50

Final from Lexington, Kentucky

No. 1 Kentucky put away Florida 67-50 Saturday afternoon to complete the first undefeated regular season by a power conference team since Indiana in 1976.

The Wildcats (31-0, 18-0 SEC) pulled away from the Gators midway through the second half and never looked back.

Trey Lyles led Kentucky with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. Willie Cauley-Stein chipped in 8 points and 7 boards.

Kasey Hill led Florida (15-16, 8-10) with 15 points. Dorian Finney-Smith contributed 12 points.

The Gators finished up a disappointing regular season below .500 and will likely need an SEC Tournament run to receive an invite for any postseason tournament.

Kentucky will be the No. 1 seed in the SEC Tournament as they continue rolling towards a perfect 40-0 season.
