St. Catharine College and Matthew Taylor Part Ways After One Season

St. Catharine College and head coach Matthew Taylor have parted ways after just one season.

The split was said to be a "mutual decision between both parties."

A source at St. Catharine says the school's administration wanted to "go in a different direction."

The Patriots finished the 2014-15 season 11-18 overall and 5-11 in the Mid-South Conference.

Taylor has already accepted an assistant coaching job on Happy Osborne's staff at Kentucky Wesleyan College.

"Excited to say the least," Taylor expressed on social media after accepting the job at KWC. "I'm proud to take the next step to a higher level in my journey. Also to join an incredible school and staff with a great winning tradition."
