Here is a release from LWC:

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball program added Nicholai Brown for the upcoming 2015-16 season, head coach Paul Peck announced on Wednesday.

Brown comes to Lindsey Wilson after transferring from Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas.

The 6-foot-10 center helped lead the Cardinals to a top-10 ranking in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I rankings for the entire 2014-15 season, finishing the year with a 28-5 overall record and a 17-2 mark in the Texas Junior College Conference. Trinity Valley advanced to the second round of the NJCAA National Tournament last year.

The Mandeville, Jamaica, native, averaged five points, five rebounds and two blocks per game while shooting 60 percent from the field at Trinity Valley last season.

Brown is expected to make an immediate impact in the post on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor.

"The sky is the limit for Nic," Peck said. "He has only played organized basketball for five years, but was a soccer player before being introduced to basketball in high school so he has great footwork and is very athletic. He has the ability to be a great defender and shot blocker and his interior presence will help with our overall defensive effort."

"I expect Nic to be one of the premier post players in the Mid-South Conference and his mere presence inside will enable us to play the type of defense that Blue Raider fans have become accustomed to in the past."
