Here is a release from LWC:

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team added junior college transfer Shawn Lathan for the upcoming 2015-16 season, head coach Paul Peck announced on Monday.

Lathan joins the Blue Raiders from Southwestern Community College in Chula Vista, Calif., where he was named the Pacific Coast South Conference Player of the Year in 2014-15.

He was also named to the All-PCS Conference Team and selected as a California Community College Athletic Association All-State team member.

Lathan helped lead Southwestern to the Pacific Coast South Championship title last season with a 21-9 record while averaging 13.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game as a sophomore.

He shot 44.5 percent from the field and held a 48.1 percent shooting percentage from three-point range.

As a freshman at Southwestern, Lathan averaged 17.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while maintaining a 50.6 percent field-goal percentage and a 43.4 percent mark from beyond the arc.

"Shawn is a coaches' player that can do it all both offensively and defensively," Peck said. "He can guard the two, three and four positions and turn around and play all three on the offensive end."

"Shawn can take it strong to the rim, but can also really stretch the defense with his three-point shot ability. We expect him to be one of our leaders both on the court and in the classroom."
