Raptors 905 Draft Earl Clark in NBA D-League Expansion Draft

Former Louisville big man Earl Clark was recently drafted by Raptors 905 in the NBA Development League Expansion Draft.

Raptors 905, the Mississauga-based NBA Development League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, has acquired the rights to 16 players through this morning's NBA D-League Expansion Draft. Seven of the players selected have NBA experience. Earl Clark (6'10''-F-88, college: Louisville, agency: Pinnacle Management), Nolan Smith (6'2''-PG-88, college: Duke, agency: Wasserman Media) and Dahntay Jones (6'5''-F/G-80, college: Duke, agency: Priority Sports) are former first-round NBA Draft picks while Luke Harrangody, Ricky Ledo (6'7''-SG-92, college: Providence, agency: Excel Sports Mngm), Mustafa Shakur (6'4''-PG-84, college: Arizona, agency: Edge Sports) and Kevin Jones have also played in the big league. Other players selected include Dee Bost (6'2''-PG-89, college: Mississippi St., agency: Three Eye Sports), Abdul Gaddy, C.J. Leslie (6'9''-F-91, college: N.Carolina St., agency: JCK Sports), Ramone Moore (6'4''-G-89, college: Temple, agency: Walton Sports Management Group), Will Sheehey (6'7''-F-92, college: Indiana, agency: Edge Sports), Scott Suggs (6'6''-F/G-89, college: Washington, agency: Impact Basketball), Ty Walker, Mitchell Watt (6'10''-F-89, college: Buffalo, agency: Bell Management) and Michael Williams. Raptors 905 was allowed to select from a pool of players who were on D-League rosters over the past two seasons. Each of the 18 existing D-League teams was able to protect the rights of 12 players while the unprotected players were eligible for the expansion draft. No more than two players from any one team could be chosen by the 905s. On Monday, Raptors 905 announced they will also be holding an open tryout on Sept. 19 at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
