AEK Athens Expected to Cut Daniel Orton Following Locker Room Tirade

Former Kentucky big man Daniel Orton, who is trying to salvage his professional career overseas, seems to find trouble at every stop.

Reports out of Greece say that AEK Athens is expected to cut Orton following a bizarre incident in the locker room during a recent game.

Orton was reportedly laughing during halftime and was called out by his head coach. Orton then became "out of control" and to smash things inside the locker room. An assistant coach tried to calm him but Orton "pushed him back."

Here is an excerpt from SDNA.gr:

AEK have called Orton to apologize since they are very troubled with his behaviour. Orton,in the halftime of the game between AEK and the Skyliners, was laughing in the locker rooms. Sakota admonished him and when he left the locker rooms, Orton was out of control and started to smash things. Assistant coach Angelos Koronios tried to calm him down but Orton pushed him back. What is more, the 25-year-old center in the past, had missed unreasonably a training and had abandoned a team dinner. As a result it is quite possible for the American center to leave the "Queen".

Orton was previously let go in the Philippines after he made some negative statements about boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

Prior to that, Orton was involved in a brawl in China.
