Former UPIKE Guard Kenny Manigault Signs with AmeriLeague

Former University of Pikeville guard Kenny Manigault has officially signed with the new AmeriLeague.

Manigault will now be entered in the AmeriLeague draft on October 22.

Las Vegas – The AmeriLeague and guard Kenny Manigault have agreed to terms of a contract that will allow the former University of Pikeville guard to enter this year’s AmeriLeague draft. Per league policy, terms of the contracts were not released.

In his senior season, Manigault led Pikeville to the NAIA quarterfinals, where he averaged 18.3 points, 3.3 steals and 6.3 rebounds in three post-season appearances. UPIKE advanced to the NAIA National Championship quarterfinals where it lost to Talladega (Ala.).

In addition to earning 2015 NAIA Player of the Year honors, Manigault finished first in steals (83) and 16th in scoring (19.4 points per game). He was also recognized as Mid-South Conference Player of the Week twice, leading to MSC Player of the Year and inclusion into the 10-member All-NAIA Championship Team.

“I’m excited to join AmeriLeague,” Manigault said. “The league has produced some exciting buzz, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to take part in it .”
