Kentucky Wesleyan Picked to Finish Second in G-MAC Preseason Poll

Kentucky Wesleyan is picked to finish second in the Great-Midwest Athletic Conference this season.

The league's coaches have voted Alderson Broaddus to finish first with 35 total points and 5 first-place votes.

KWC is second with 32 points and 2 first-place votes

GREENWOOD, Ind. (Oct. 19, 2015) — Kentucky Wesleyan has been chosen No. 2 in the Great-Midwest Athletic Conference men’s basketball preseason poll, as voted on by league coaches.

The Panthers received 32 points and two of seven first place votes. Favorite Alderson Broaddus, the defending regular season and tournament champion, had 35 points and five first place votes.

Third-year head coach Happy Osborne returns six letterwinners including three starters along with one redshirt from last season’s squad that finished second in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference regular season and tournament with a 22-8 (10-4 G-MAC) record.

The 2016 G-MAC Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament will be hosted by the regular season champion on their campus on March 3-5. Six members will participate.

The Panthers open the 2015-16 season with two exhibition contests at Western Kentucky on Nov. 6 and at Louisville on Nov. 9.

The regular season starts Nov. 15 and 16 at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic / Great Midwest Athletic Conference Challenge in Detroit.
