Kentucky Suffers Let Down but Earns Sluggish Win Over Wright State

No. 2 Kentucky was sluggish but still managed to cruise to a foul-filled 78-63 win over Wright State.

In a game that featured 50 fouls and 54 free throw attempts, the Wildcats (4-0) were never seriously threatened.

"Yeah, we're just -- look, this was, Wright State played pack line, they played zone, they
stayed in the lane, they spread the court," John Calipari said after the game. "They picked one of my guys who couldn't guard the dribbler. And they hung around because of it."

Tyler Ulis led the way for Kentucky with 21 points and 5 assists. Isaiah Briscoe finished with 15 points. Skal Labissiere and Jamal Murray each scored 13 points. Alex Poythress came off the bench for a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Grant Benzinger led Wright State (1-3) with 19 points. JT Yoho contributed 13 points and 5 boards.

Kentucky was 25-for-47 (53.2%) from the field and 2-for-10 (20%) from long range. The Wildcats out-rebounded Wright State by a total of 37-27.

The Wildcats return to action at 9:00 p.m. ET Tuesday night against Boston University in Rupp Arena.
