Murray State Sophomore Kedrick Flomo Will Miss 2015-16 Season After Heart Surgery

Murray State sophomore Kedrick Flomo will miss the 2015-16 season following emergency heart surgery on Monday.

My thoughts and prayers are with Flomo and the Murray State family.

Here are details from MSU:

Murray State men's basketball student-athlete Kedrick Flomo underwent emergency heart surgery at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday.
Doctors expect Flomo to make a full recovery, but he will not play in the 2015-16 season for the Racers.
"We are very thankful for the outstanding medical care Kedrick has received, both here in Murray and at Vanderbilt," said Head Coach Matt McMahon. "Our number one priority is Kedrick's health and him making a full recovery from yesterday's surgery.  We will be here to support him every step of the way.  On behalf of his teammates and coaches, we continue to send our thoughts and love to Kedrick and his family."
"I had the opportunity to see Kedrick this morning and he's doing incredibly well," said Director of Athletics Allen Ward. "They've moved him out of ICU and he's alert and eating. He's an amazing young man, with an outstanding family. They have our complete support as Kedrick continues his recovery. Our prayers remain with them as does the support of the entire Racer Nation."
