Here's more from CatsPause.com:
Auckland (New Zealand) Rangitoto College 4-star power forward and Kentucky commit Tai Wynyard has enrolled for the spring semester, is currently working on his student visa application and plans on signing with the Wildcats this month, his mother, Kamryn Wynyard, told CatsPause.com Tuesday.
Wynyard told New Zealand sports site stuff.co.nz in September he was "50-50" on whether he would play for the Wildcats this season or redshirt.
His mother says it's too early to tell.
Tai Wynyard is "as of right now" set to join Kentucky for the upcoming season, most likely linking up with them in December— NZhoops (@NZ_hoops) October 27, 2015
According to NZHoops, Wynyard has been playing well in the Mexicali Fresh Summer Jam in Auckland:
In preparation for his stint there – where it is unknown whether he will redshirt the first season or not – Wynyard has been getting some game-time in at the Mexicali Fresh Summer Jam in Auckland.
The Secondary School Champion winning centre put up 29 points and 17 rebounds in the first clash of the Summer season of hoops, impressively doing so against a team which had Casey Frank matching up against him.
