Life is Tough on the Road: LSU Dismantles Kentucky

LSU opened up a lead early and never looked back as the Tigers rolled to an 85-67 win over No. 9 Kentucky in Baton Rouge.

Tim Quarternman led the Tigers (9-5, 2-0 SEC) with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Craig Victor II added 15 points and 12 boards. All-American candidate Ben Simmons finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Tyler Ulis paced Kentucky with 23 points and 6 assists. Jamal Murray chipped in 21 points. No other Wildcat finished in double figures.

LSU dominated the paint, out-scoring the Wildcats 44-24. UK big men Marcus Lee and Alex Poythress fouled out. The group of Lee, Poythress, Skal Labissiere and Isaac Humphries combined for just 7 points, 9 rebounds and 6 turnovers in 54 minutes.

Lee only played 5 minutes and finished with 0 points, 2 rebounds, 2 turnovers and 5 fouls.

Kentucky (11-3, 1-1) returns to action Saturday with another road game at Alabama.
