Here is a release from UC:

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Basketball team is off to a great start to the 2nd half of their season, winning their first three games in 2016 by an average of 37 points per game. With two of those wins coming this past week in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play, the Patriots have surged to a tie for first place in the conference. One player's effort has caught the eye of the conference and he was rewarded with a weekly honor.

Senior forward Tre Boutilier (North Preston, Canada) was named the MSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday. It is the second weekly award for the Patriots this season with D'Lando Carter winning the award back on December 14th. It is also the first weekly award of the season for Boutilier as well as the first for his career.

Boutilier led the Patriots to a pair of conference victories last week against the Bulldogs of Cumberland University and the NAIA #15 ranked Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College. He led UC with 15 points and 8 rebounds in the Patriots' 88-44 routing of Cumberland (TN). He shot 70% from the field (7-10) while adding 3 assists and a block.

In the 15 point upset over #15 Lindsey Wilson on Saturday, Boutilier posted a double-double with a team-high 21 points and 10 rebounds. He also went 5-6 from the floor and an impressive 11-14 from the charity stripe in the 71-56 win.

Tre currently ranks 5th in the MSC with 7.4 rebounds per game. His four double-doubles on the season are also 5th most in the conference.
