No Upsets on First Night of KIAC Tournament, Alice Lloyd Advances

There were no upsets on the first night of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament as the four top seeds all advanced to the semifinal round.

Alice Lloyd College was the only Kentucky team to survive the quarterfinal round last night. The Eagles squeaked past Rio Grande 73-72 in Pippa Passes. Tyler Rogers led the way with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Trevor Combs added 13 points.

In other action, IU East knocked off Asbury 91-75. Trenton Thompson scored 25 points for Asbury in the loss.

Point Park ended Brescia's season with a 98-83 win. Austin Morris scored 25 points for Brescia.

In the other quarterfinal, Cincinnati Christian advanced with a 70-66 victory over WVU Tech.

The semifinals will take place Saturday. Alice Lloyd will host Point Park while Cincinnati Christian will travel to IU East.
