Ben Simmons to Sign with Agent, Enter NBA Draft

As expected, we've seen the last of Ben Simmons in college basketball.

Simmons plans to sign with LeBron James' agent and enter the 2016 NBA Draft following a disappointing season at LSU.

The tigers finished 18-13 and declined an NIT bid. Simmons averaged 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4,8 assists.

Ben Simmons, the consensus No. 1 pick of the 2016 NBA Draft, will hire Rich Paul of Cleveland-based Klutch Sports for representation.

Simmons, 19, will leave LSU following his freshman campaign of averaging 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4,8 assists. The 6-10 forward/guard is viewed as a franchise difference-making player whose game best resembles LeBron James, Paul's biggest client.

LSU went a subpar 18-13 for the season and declined to play in the NIT. The way their season turned out has raised some doubts to if Simmons should be seen as the overwhelming top selection, but most league executives believe he's the No. 1 prospect.
