Billy Gillispie Mentioned as Candidate at UTSA

Former Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie might have an opportunity to get back on the sidelines in Division I soon.

Gillispie, who just led Ranger (JUCO) College to an 28-5 incredible season that has them in next week's NJCAA National Tournament, has been mentioned as a possible candidate at UTSA.

Here's what says about Gillispie:

Returned to coaching at Ranger after three years off following his ouster at Texas Tech in 2012 …

The skinny: His name is a hot item on the local grapevine, though the level of UTSA’s interest in him is uncertain … Gillispie apparently is interested in UTSA and thinks he could turn the program around.
