Will Hager Part of Solid Recruiting Class at Colorado School of Mines

Mercer County's Will Hager is part of a solid recruiting class at Colorado School of Mines for next season.

Hager, who signed last Fall, will be joined by Mason Baker, Dustin Gaddis, Will Schenken and Jimmy Ritchie.

Head coach Pryor Orser led the Orediggers to a 24-8 season in 2015-16.

Here is more on Hager:

Will Hager (Mercer County HS / Harrodsburg, Ky. / G / 6-4 / 185)

All-state point guard for Mercer County (Ky.) … Led Mercer to the state's #1 ranking, a 33-2 record, and district and regional titles with a state tournament appearance … Mercer's all-time leading scorer with more than 1,900 points … Also had 730 rebounds and 500 assists in his career … Four-year varsity captain … Second-Team All-State as a senior and honorable mention all-state as a junior … Area Player of the Year … Four-year all-area and three-year all-region … KBA Summer Tournament MVP … Played AAU ball for Hoop Dreams on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit, and had four D-I signees as teammates … Two-time First-Team Academic All-State … 4.0 GPA.

Orser on Hager

"Will was a fall signee and had just a monster year. He is the glue guy to all these great recruits because he is a true, big point guard who can get guys shots. With Will's leadership, and winning ways, the sky is the limit for Mines basketball. Will's high school team went 33-2, and lost to the eventual state champion by 3 in Rupp Arena. Kentucky has only one classification and has a blind draw to the state tourney. He is a great recruit for the future of Mines basketball and someone we can continue to build our program around."
