Former Racer T.J. Sapp Earns Player of the Week Honors in Colombia

Former Murray State guard T.J. Sapp has been named Player of the Week in Colombia.

Sapp had 36 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists for Bucaros in a 112-96 win over Halcones.

American-Jamaican T.J. Sapp (190-G-92, agency: Duran International) had a great game in the last round for Bucaros and that's him to receive a Player of the Week award for round 19.

The 23-year old guard had the game-high 36 points adding four rebounds and five assists for Bucaros in his team's victory, helping them to crush Halcones (#5, 9-11) with 16-point margin 112-96. Bucaros maintains the 3rd position in Colombian Liga DirecTV. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Bucaros will need more victories to improve their 13-7 record. In the team's last game Sapp had a remarkable 90.0% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He just recently signed at Bucaros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Murray State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sapp is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.9ppg) and averages solid 2.3spg,62.1% FGP and 43.8% from behind 3-point line.
