Josh Harrellson is Headed to Japan's B League

Former Kentucky big man Josh Harrellson has signed with Osaka Evessa in Japan's top-level B League.

Harrellson played last season for VEF Riga in Latvia. He averaged 10.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.

Osaka Evessa (B League) agreed terms with 27-year old American forward Josh Harrellson (208-120kg-89, college: Kentucky). He played last season at VEF Riga in Latvian LBL league. In 26 games he had 10.6ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.5bpg. Harrellson helped them to make it to the final. He also played 17 games in VTB United League where he recorded 11.4ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.2spg and 1.2bpg. Harrellson also spent pre-season at the Wizards in NBA that year.

In 2011 he was drafted by New Orleans Hornets (NBA) in second round (45th overall). The former University of Kentucky staris in his sixth season in pro basketball.

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Harrellson was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese NBL Player of the Year and Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese NBL Import Player of the Year back in 2013.

His career allowed him to visit three different continents. Harrellson tasted the life as pro basketball player in Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Puerto Rico (Brujos), NBA (Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat and New York Knicks) and China (North Control).
