Former Rowan County Star Adam Wing to Play in NBL Canada

Former Rowan County High School star Adam Wing will begin his professional career in NBL Canada.

Wing, who had a successful college career at Evansville, recently signed with the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans.

Here is a release from the Titans:

The Kitchener-Waterloo Titans announced on Wednesday that rookie swingmen Orlando Coleman, Ryan Nitz, and Adam Wing have signed with the club.

“I’m thrilled to have these young men join us in Kitchener-Waterloo and complement the veteran core we are assembling around them. All three of these rookies are high character individuals that pride themselves in having a strong work ethic and are supportive teammates both on and off the floor,” said KW Titans Head Coach, Serge Langis.

Adam Wing (6’4”, forward) completed his four-year college career at the University of Evansville (NCAA DI) in 2016, where he served as team captain in his senior year, averaging 7.8 PPG on 51% FG shooting and 52.5% from 3-point range, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. “I’m thankful for the opportunity that I’ve been blessed with to play basketball in college and now as a professional. I’m extremely competitive, and as a hardnosed player, I’ll do the little things to help my team win,” said Wing. “I love the idea of coming to a new team within the NBL. When I had the opportunity to meet Stu (Julius), he lit a fire in me and I know I’m ready to make this a remarkable year with the Titans. If the team buys into Coach Langis’ philosophy, I’m confident we can really make some noise this year,” said Wing.

“Adam is a gritty combo forward that gives us a solid option on the wing and up front with his unique skill set to shoot the ball but also play physical inside. His toughness when rebounding the ball and defending multiple positions really stood out to me and we’re excited to have him,” said Coach Langis.
