Former WKU Forward Steffphon Pettigrew Returns to Mexico

Former Western Kentucky University forward Steffphon Pettigrew is headed back to Mexico.

Pettigrew has agreed to terms with Abejas de Guanajuato in Mexico's LNBP league.

Abejas de Guanajuato (LNBP) agreed terms with 27-year old American forward Steffphon Pettigrew (196-100kg-89, college: W.Kentucky, agency: HMS). It is actually his comeback to Abejas as he has played here before. Pettigrew played last season at Chorale de Roanne Basket in French ProB. In 34 games he had 13.8ppg and 5.7rpg.

The previous (2015) summer Pettigrew played at Talk N Text in Filipino PBA where in 11 games he recorded very impressive stats: 21.4ppg, 10.6rpg, 1.3apg and 1.0spg in 2015 season.

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Pettigrew's team made it to the Uruguay LUB Semifinals in 2012. He was also voted All-Sun Belt 1st Team back in 2011 at his college time.

Pettigrew is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in four different countries. Pettigrew tasted the life as pro basketball player in Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Puerto Rico (Santeros), Venezuela (Marinos), Uruguay (Aguada) and Mexico (Frayles de Guasave).

Pettigrew attended Western Kentucky University until 2011 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
