Lindsey Wilson's Charles Sutton Named Mid-South Conference Player of the Week

Lindsey Wilson's Charles Sutton is the first Mid-South Conference Player of the Week for 2016-17.

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson's (Ky.) Charles Sutton is the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Charles Sutton – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Jr. – Forward – Michigan City, Ind.

- Sutton paced No. 20 Lindsey Wilson to wins over Midway (Ky.) and Ohio State-Mansfield after averaging 25.5 points per game and shot 69 percent from the floor.

- He recorded a double-double on the road against the Eagles with 31 points and 10 rebounds. Sutton shot 11-for-15 from the floor and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc in the Blue Raiders 89-74 win at Midway.

- Sutton scored 20 points against Ohio State-Mansfield and just missed another double-double with nine rebounds, while chipping in with five assists.

- Lindsey Wilson has started the season 4-0.

- Sutton earns his first player of the week honor of the season and second of his career.
