Bart Williams Off to a Winning Start at Bath County High School

Former Pikeville High School head coach Bart Williams is off to a winning start in his new job at Bath County High School.

The Wildcats are off to a 4-3 start, including an impressive 4-1 record in the 16th Region.

Tuesday night, Bath County held on for an 83-82 road win at Fairview. Jacob Mitchell led the way with 22 points while Spencer Pergrem added 20. Bryce Williams added 13.

Through seven games, Mitchell is leading the team with 22.6 points per game. He is proving to be one of the top players in the region and is gaining the interest of several college and prep school coaches.

Since a 20-point loss to Nicholas County (4-2) in the season's first game, the Wildcats have only lost in road games at Belfry (2-1) and Russell (4-3) by seven points combined.

This weekend, Bath County will battle East Jessamine (1-6) and Augusta (4-4) in the Kentucky Bank Challenge at Rowan County.
