MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa – The Spalding men's basketball team suffered its second consecutive loss, falling to SLIAC opponent Iowa Wesleyan University, 101-75, Saturday afternoon. The loss drops the Golden Eagles to 3-17 overall and 2-10 in SLIAC play.

Four Golden Eagles scored in double figures, led by senior Nick Trisko who scored 28 points to go with 14 rebounds for his ninth straight double-double and 15th on the season. Sophomore Keith Wallace scored a season-high 16 points, Steven Gordon scored 15 points and Demarcus Kennedy added 10.

The lead for the Tigers widened to 30 before a late charge by Spalding led by Trisko brought it to within 23 points with just under eight minutes remaining. A strong second half offensively for Spalding in which they shot 55% (17-31 from the field) wasn't enough to overcome the Tiger's lead, however, as the final score favored Iowa Wesleyan, 101-75.
