Here's a release from LWC:

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team has added Virginia high school standout Jordan Hamlette for the upcoming 2017-18 season, head coach Paul Peck announced on Wednesday.

"He has the potential to be one of the best point guards to ever play here," Peck said. "He comes from a great family and a top basketball program in Lynchburg. Blue Raider fans will love seeing Jordan play."

Hamlette joins Lindsey Wilson after a standout playing career for Heritage High School in Lynchburg, Virginia. During his senior campaign with the Pioneers, the 6-foot-2 guard averaged 23 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, 5.3 assists per game and 2.0 steals per game. He accumulated 1,133 points during his career including pouring in 578 points his senior season.

The highly touted all-state selection racked up multiple accolades during his career at Heritage.

He was named the Conference 30 Player of the Year, Seminole District Player of the Year, ABC News Full Court Press Player of the Year and the Lynchburg News Advance Player of the Year.

Hamlette was a 3A West Region First Team selection, a Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star, earned All-State Second Team honors as a junior and All-State First Team honors as a senior.

"He sees the court well, keeps his head up, can shoot the basketball and has great intelligence and understanding of what is needed out there," Peck said. "He doesn't have to score to have an impact on the game, but he also certainly has the ability to score.

"He's able to do all the intangibles and he fits everything we need right now."
