Alan Cutler Reports That Billy Gillispie Has Been Fired

Alan Cutler of LEX18 reported this evening that Billy Gillispie is coaching his last game tonight. I can find no confirmation of this and I have seen no official announcements. It has been reported that he made these statements during the 5:00 p.m. newscast, but retracted a little during the 5:30 edition.

It would seem that Cutler either broke a story that he was supposed to keep quiet or he jumped the gun a little and reported a false story. Stay tuned...

UPDATE: I watched the video and Cutler said that Seth Davis has an inside source that tells him "the decision has already been made to fire Billy Gillispie..."
