At Stake: Louisville will earn the regular season Big East title and top seed in the Big East Tournament with a win. West Virginia is trying to solidify their NCAA Tournament bid Big East Tournament seeding position.
The Louisville Cardinals were handed a nice surprise by Pittsburgh this afternoon. Pitt defeated Connecticut in earlier action, paving the way for Louisville to claim the Big East's regular season championship. The Cardinals will have an opportunity to lockup the regular season title and top spot in the Big East Tournament tonight when they battle West Virginia.
Louisville beat West Virginia 69-63 on Jan. 31 by racing to a 20-point halftime lead then digging in when the Mountaineers made a late run.
