
We will find out soon if John Calipari's primary interest in changing scenary from Memphis to Lexington is money. According to ESPN, Kentucky has apparently offered Calipari something in the neighborhood $35 million for eight years. An article came out this morning which indicates that Memphis boosters, including the powerful FedEx Corporation, are scrambling to put together a package that could pay Calipari up to $7 million a year. If this is true, it will be very difficult for Kentucky to compete with those kinds of numbers.
