During the regular season, Rondo played in 80 games and averaged 11.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 8.2 assists. An injury to Kevin Garnett has left the Celtics with a need to find increased production from other players. Rondo has stepped up in a big way.
Rondo is from Louisville, Kentucky. He played at Louisville Eastern high school before finishing his high school career at national powerhouse Oak Hill Academy. He played two seasons for the University of Kentucky Wildcats before being drafted in the first round of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns.
