Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Update

A few notes to pass along this morning:

- Matt Jones at KSR has heard that former Wildcat Scott Padgett could possibly be hired to John Calipari's staff as a "Special Assistant"

- The Derby Classic All-Star game is tomorrow; it will feature several Kentucky and Louisville recruits such as Nolan Dennis, Daniel Orton, Jon Hood, Peyton Siva, Rakeem Buckles, Eric Bledsoe, Mike Marra and Stephan Van Treese

- John Calipari is in Portland, Oregon today today at the Nike Hoop Summit; DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall are participating in the event

- Eric Bledsoe likes Kentucky, but lists Florida as his favorite; Bledsoe is a PG and is #67 on the Rivals150 list

- Daniel Orton is wavering between Kentucky and Kansas; at this time, he is still a Wildcat; Orton is #22 on the Rivals150 list

- Nolan Dennis states that he is interested in Kentucky but will not commit immediately; Dennis is a SG and is #47 on the Rivals150 list

- John Wall has listed his final 7 schools and Kentucky is on the list; Wall is the top PG prospect in the nation and is #1 on the Rivals150 list
