It is likely that 2010 combo guard Doron Lamb will commit soon and sign during the Spring signing period.
Lamb, an athletic 6-4 scoring guard at Oak Hill Academy, will choose between Arizona, Connecticut, Kansas, Kentucky and Oklahoma.
Several sources have indicated that he will choose from Kansas or Kentucky, with Connecticut making a strong push after last weekend's visit. An ESPN recruiting insider stated on ESPNU last week that he feels Lamb will be a Kentucky Wildcat.
A commitment from Lamb, who visited Lexington on October 23, would go a long ways towards easing Kentucky fans' 2010 recruiting concerns. At this point, the Wildcats have only Stacey Poole in the 2010 Class and have missed out on several high-profile recruits including Tobias Harris, Jelan Kendrick, Adreian Payne and Kyrie Irving.
Here is an excerpt of an article on ZagsBlog.com that references Lamb and his upcoming decision:
Oak Hill (Va.) guard Doron Lamb will likely commit sometime soon, but wait until the spring to sign, his father said.
“Yeah, I think so,” Calvin Lamb said by phone. “He’ll commit soon but he’ll sign in the spring.”
The 6-foot-4 Lamb has visited UConn, Kentucky, Kansas and Oklahoma and may still get out to see Arizona.
