Tobias Harris Journal: Some Shocking News Today

Tobias Harris, the #5 recruit on the Rivals150 List for 2010, is now 12 days away from announcing his college choice. This is the Tobias Harris Journal, an all access feature from AllKYHoops.com that intends to illustrate the high-major recruiting process through the eyes of the recruit.

Tobias is now one week away from announcing his college decision on Thursday, November 19.

I spoke to Tobias earlier and he informed me of some shocking news - he has already trimmed his list down to two schools: Tennessee and Syracuse and there's still a small chance for Kentucky and West Virginia.

The shocking part of this news is that Tobias learned about this big decision by surfing the Internet today. I imagine he was pretty surprised to find out that he has not decided anything yet, but certain members of the online media have talked to college coaches, family members and friends to decide his future for him.

When I talked to Tobias, he was dumbfounded by a couple of the articles:

After reading that he has already trimmed his list to Syracuse and Tennessee, the only comment he could get out was, "oh wow."

"It's not true at all," he added. "Nothing has changed at all. I have not made any decisions and won't be making any decisions until my visits are finished. Then I will sit down with my family and make a choice."

Tomorrow, when you read an article and that states anything about Tobias' college choice being made already, you need to refer that author to this article. Tobias has not made a decision and he will not make a decision until next week.

What's in store for tomorrow:

Tobias is not sure what his workout schedule will be tomorrow. He intends to take a break tomorrow night to attend his school's soccer game.

An observation I made today:

I became Facebook friends with Britton Kelley, who is Tobias' speed training coach. After checking out Kelley's profile, I must say that he is an absolute physical specimen. He looks like a pro wrestler that is chiseled out of stone.

My advice to Tobias: "If I were you, I'd probably just do whatever that guy asked me to do in practice."
