Shagari Alleyne, a 7-3 center that played for Tubby Smith at Kentucky, is no longer in the NBA's D-League.
He has signed with the Halifax Rainmen in the Premier Basketball League.
Here is the official team announcement:
The Halifax Rainmen sign 7’3” University of Kentucky standout Shagari Alleyne. Shagari was with the Albuquerque Thunderbirds of the NBA’s D League. “He had a good training camp with the Thunderbirds, but it’s a numbers game in that league. NBA players have first options,” said team owner Andre Levingston.
The Rainmen open pre-season play on December 19 against the Manchester Millrats
