Kansas is Coming on Strong for Braeden Anderson

The interest in Kentucky recruit Braeden Anderson is heating up.

I talked to a source who is close to the 6-9 forward tonight and Anderson had just spoken on the phone to Kansas head coach Bill Self.

"Kansas is recruiting Braeden aggressively," the source said. "North Carolina and UCLA are coming on strong, as well."

He added, "But Kentucky and Kansas are 1A and 1B right now."

Self told Anderson that there will be a need for him at Kansas, particularly if the Jayhawks lose the Morris twins to the NBA Draft.

Anderson, a native of Canada, originally committed to DePaul but asked for a release from his Letter-of-Intent. He was granted the release and has now opened his recruitment back up.

He is expected to make a college decision soon.

"Probably in the next 2-3 weeks," the source indicated.
