2014 Star Devin Booker: "I'd like to hear from Kentucky"

I spoke to 2014 star Devin Booker earlier tonight and he said he's hoping to hear from the Kentucky Wildcats soon.

"I'd like to hear from Kentucky," Booker said. "I'm totally open as of now."

Booker is very aware of the Kentucky program and what they have to offer.

"Obviously Kentucky is a powerhouse with a coach who wins championships and gets players to the next level," he said of UK and head coach John Calipari. "Can't ask for more than that. Also, he develops players who are already All-Americans."

Booker's recruitment has exploded this season. He's hearing from a heavyweight list of high-major programs and has three visits coming up soon.

"I'm going to be visiting UNC the 23rd, Duke the 24th and Florida on March 2nd," he said.

Booker recently moved into the top 25 (No. 23 overall) on the Scout.com top 100 for 2014. ESPN.com has him ranked No. 19 overall. Rivals.com still has him rated as a four-star recruit but that will almost certainly change when the rankings are updated.
