Pikeville collected 3 first-place votes and 58 voting points in the preseason poll that was released Friday by conference officials.
Georgetown College is picked second with 2 first-place votes and 54 total points.
Campbellsville is third with 3 first-place votes and 52 points.
University of the Cumberlands and Lindsey Wilson College round out the top 5.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Mid-South Conference coaches have selected Pikeville (Ky.) as the favorite to win the men's basketball regular season title in 2014-15, according to the MSC Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Friday by conference officials.
The Bears -- the defending regular season and tournament champions -- received 58 voting points and three first-place votes from the conference coaches' vote. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team.
Pikeville finished 2013-14 with a 31-3 overall and a 17-1 Mid-South record. The Bears reached the second round of last season's NAIA National Championships.
Georgetown (Ky.) is second in the preseason voting with 54 voting points and two first-place votes. The Tigers reached the national quarterfinals a season ago, finishing with a 24-11 overall record.
Campbellsville (Ky.) is a close third in the balloting with 52 voting points and three first-place votes.
Cumberlands (Ky.) is fourth with 43 voting points followed by Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) in fifth with 35 voting points and the final first-place vote.
Mid-South newcomer Life (Ga.) is selected sixth with 30 voting points while St. Catharine (Ky.) checks in a seventh with 29 voting points. Cumberland (Tenn.) and Shawnee State (Ohio) complete the nine-team poll with 15 and eight voting points respectively.
The Mid-South Conference regular season tips-off on November 13 with the MSC Tournament set for March 6-8 at the Frankfort Convention Center in Frankfort, Ky.
