Murray State's Jarvis Williams Named OVC Player of the Week

Murray State's Jarvis Williams was named OVC Player of the Week earlier today. Williams averaged 24.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game last week in two wins.

Williams averaged 24.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks/game and hit 70 percent (21-of-30) from the field in a pair of Murray State victories last week. He tied his career-high with 28 points in a road victory over Middle Tennessee to start the week; Williams also added 12 rebounds in that game netting his second double-double of the season (he led the OVC with 14 double-doubles last year). The senior hit 12-of-19 (63.2%) field goals against MTSU, blocked three shots and added an assist and a steal. He capped the week by connecting on 9-of-11 (81.8%) from the field on his way to 21 points and five rebounds in just 19 minutes against Brescia. Williams currently leads the OVC in scoring (19.7 points/game) and is second in rebounding (9.3/game).
