No. 1 Kentucky Obliterates Montana State in Record-Setting Fashion

(1) Kentucky 86
Montana State 28

Final from Lexington, Kentucky

Top-ranked Kentucky completely dismantled Montana State 86-28 Sunday night.

Montana State (0-4) shot just 12-for-61 (19.7%) from the field and 2-for-23 (8.7%) from the three-point line. The 28 points is a new record for fewest points scored by an opponent in Rupp Arena (previous record was 32 by Morehead State).

"I loved how we defended," John Calipari said after the game. "We didn't look at the score, we just worried about each possession and that's what you have to do in games like this."

Devin Booker led Kentucky (5-0) with 18 points and 3 steals. Aaron Harrison added 14 points. Dakari Johnson chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds.

Karl Towns finished with 8 points, 10 boards and 6 blocks for the Wildcats.

Joey Frenchwood led Montana State with only 7 points.

Kentucky returns to action Tuesday night when they host UT Arlington at 7:00 p.m.
