Former Kentucky State player Kenny Jones was named National Basketball League of Canada Player of the Week on Monday.

Here's more from USBasket.com:

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Kenny Jones (6'6''-PF-84, college: Kentucky St.) of the Saint John Mill Rats has been named Player of the Week for the week ending January 4, 2015. This is the first time this season that a member of the Mill Rats has earned this honour. Jones, a 6'6" 215-pound power forward who played collegiately at Kentucky State, averaged 21.6 points per game in three contests this week, helping Saint John go 2-1 during that period. He also scored 40 points in the Mill Rats' 129-111 New Year's Day victory over Moncton. This is the second time in Jones' career that he has claimed the Player of the Week honour; he previously won it for the week ending March 17, 2013.
