Mississippi State's Attendance Counter Appears To Be Off By About 6,000

Apparently, roughly 6,000 people paid for a ticket to Mississippi State's game last night but opted to skip the game.

On television, it appeared that about 250 fans were in the arena:

After the game, State announced an attendance of 6,386. Humphrey Coliseum holds a total of 10,575 fans. I mean, unless there are more than 5,000 folks in line for restrooms and concessions, I'm not buying it.

The Bulldogs weren't able to take advantage of their large crowd as Alabama earned a 55-51.
