Braydon Hobbs Leads Mackay Meteors to 2015 QBL Championship

Former Bellarmine University star Braydon Hobbs led Mackay Meteors to the 2015 QBL championship over the weekend.

Hobbs, who was named Grand Finals Series MVP, scored a game-high 22 points in the decisive 88-86 win over Brisbane Capitals.

Mackay took out Game 1 with an 82-76 victory on Friday night (Adekponya 21), with Brisbane levelling the series on Saturday night with an 85-73 win (Carter, 19). Braydon Hobbs (196-G-89, college: Bellarmine, agency: You First) took out the Grand Finals Series MVP award, with a game-high 22 points helping Mackay get over the line in the third and final match. Chris Cedar (188-G-88, agency: BrevAlto) notched 16 points for the winners. Ryan Jeffries (192-G/F-86) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds for Brisbane.
