Here are more details from LCHS:

Lexington, KY – November XX, 2015 – Lexington Catholic High School, in conjunction with several local partners, will hold its first annual Bennett Lester Classic on December 11 at 7:30 p.m. The event will take place during the school’s yearly basketball matchup with Dunbar High School at Lexington Catholic High School. Funds raised will support The Curious Edge Foundation, Inc, a corporation acting as seed money for a foundation being set up in honor of Bennett Lester.

Bennett’s foundation, in creation by William (Catholic ’00) and Katie Anne Lester (Dunbar ’00) who lost their 3-year-old daughter to a rare brain tumor in October, will help support children’s cancer research. Bennett laughed, sang, danced and smiled throughout her short time on earth, a reminder that hope and joy can be found even in the darkest of times. Her courageous cancer battle has inspired thousands to truly live each day to its fullest.

“It is an honor for Lexington Catholic to host the inaugural Bennett Lester Classic,” said Brandon Salsman, Lexington Catholic head coach. “Bennett’s story has captured the hearts of our entire community and we are grateful for this opportunity to support the Lester family and their pursuit to fight childhood cancer. We look forward to hosting and growing this event for many years to come.”

The Bennett Lester Classic, to be held at 2250 Clays Mill Rd, Lexington, KY, will feature a basketball game and additional opportunities to support Bennett’s foundation. Tickets for the game will be sold at the door. Donations can be made ahead of time by mailing checks to The Curious Edge Foundation, Inc., Attn: David W. Hudson, 3306 Clays Mill Road, Suite 102, Lexington, KY, 40503 (please include “Blessings for Bennett” in the memo).
