University of the Cumberlands Guard D'lando Carter Named MSC Player of the Week

University of the Cumberlands guard D'lando Carter was named Mid-South Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Cumberlands' (Ky.) D'lando Carter is the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Roeding Insurance Group was founded in 1921 and is today one of the largest independently-owned insurance and financial services agencies in the Cincinnati Tri-State area and the state of Kentucky.

D'lando Carter – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. – Guard – Danville, Ill.

- Carter guided the Patriots to a 3-0 week, after upsetting No. 1 Pikeville (Ky.) on the road, along with a win at West Virginia Tech and a neutral site victory over Washington Adventist (Md.).

- In the upset victory of the Bears, he scored 30 points in just under 30 minutes of action, while chipping in with a pair of rebounds and three assists. He finished the game shooting 13-for-17 from the floor and 4-for-6 from beyond the arc.

- Against Washington Adventist, Carter recorded 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting, which including hitting both attempts from behind the three-point line and going 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

- As Cumberlands extended their win streak to six games against West Virginia Tech, he capped of his week with 19 points on 7-of-10 from the floor. He finished the week averaging 21 points per game and shot 72.7 percent from the floor through the three games.

- Carter earns his first player of the week honor of the season and of his career
