Louisville and Memphis Reportedly Working on a Game in New York City for 2016-17

Louisville and Memphis are reportedly working on renewing their rivalry with a game in New York City next season.

Here are details from the Courier-Journal:

Though nothing is finalized, Louisville coach Rick Pitino said Tuesday night that the schools are talking about playing a game sometime during U of L's 2016-17 nonconference schedule, potentially at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

They had initially agreed to start up a series after U of L left the American Athletic Conference for the Atlantic Coast Conference, but it appeared to be off when a U of L source said in August that the rivalry series was "not good" for the Cards and likely wouldn't materialize.

"We have an unbelievable schedule," Pitino said on his weekly radio show. "I hope that 'potential' word I use comes to fruition."
