Galilean Christian Academy Heads to National Tournament

The Galilean Christian Academy boy's basketball team knocked off Bluegrass United 77-73 last weekend to win their second-straight Kentucky Christian Athletic Association (KCSAA) State Championship.

Galilean will now compete in the NACA Division 5 National Tournament in Dayton, Tennessee.

The team has been to three straight NACA Division 5 final fours, with a runner up in 2013 and a championship last year.

Galilean has been part of the KCSAA since 1988 and won the then, "class B" title in 2002. Last year was the first KCSAA State Championship for the school.

Head coach Scott Jones is in his 17th season at Galilean. He picked up his 400th win earlier this season.

GCA Needs Your Help:

The school normally hosts a volleyball tournament to help raise money for national tournament travel expenses, but that event was cancelled this year due to weather.

As a result, a Go Fund Me page has been created to help generate the estimated $3,000 that is needed for the trip:

Our boys head off to Nationals tomorrow and we still have money to raise! Help us out if you can. Donations of $50 or more will get you a free State Championship shirt and should we win, a free National Championship shirt. If you can't donate, please share this post to help spread the word. THANKS SO MUCH! ‪#‎WeAreGalilean‬ ‪#‎StrengthInFamily‬ ‪#‎GoGCA‬
