Campbellsville University Inks Bardstown's Kel Livers for 2017-18

Campbellsville University has signed 6-foot guard Kel Livers from Bardstown High School for 2017-18.

Here's a release from CU:

BARDSTOWN, Ky. — Campbellsville men's basketball head coach Brent Vernon announced the addition of Kel Livers to the Tiger basketball program as the third commitment for 2017-18 year.

Livers, who prepped at Bardstown High School, is planning on majoring in Sports Management at CU.

A six-foot 165lb. guard, Livers averaged almost 16 points per game and just over six assists a contest while being named All-District and All-Region his junior and senior season.

"Kel is a great signee for us," said Vernon. "He is a versatile athletic guard that can do multiple things on the court, including defending the ball really well and is extremely skilled on the offensive end.

"He comes from a very good program at Bardstown and was fortunate to play for one of the best coaches in the state in Boo Brewer. We have lots of high expectations for Kel and look forward to the four years of him playing for Campbellsville University."

In last seasons 30th Annual KHSCA East-West Junior All-Star game, Livers scored 22 points to lead the West All-Stars to a 116-106 victory over the East.

In addition to his basketball career, Livers played two years of football and also runs track and field at Bardstown.

Livers joins incoming freshman Jacob King and graduate-transfer Adam Stanford as the three CU signees.
